I adore this time of year. September is not everyone's favorite month, for some odd reason. I, however, love it. Here's why: Labor Day weekend- fabulous, fun weekend to celebrate summer. Football season. The start of fall. Pumpkin & apple season. Fashion's Night Out. Fashion Week.

FNO started in New York in 2009 by Anna Wintour and is now a worldwide event sponsored by Vogue and the CFDA. In case you don't remember, 2009 was not a good year for the fashion industry economically. Boutiques and designers were not raking in the money for the first time in a long time. In an event to save the industry, everyone gathered in New York to support the cause. Fashionistas everywhere, including many celebrities, traveled to NYC to shop 'til they dropped. It turned out to be such a fun and historical event in the fashion world that it caught on & spread like wildfire across the globe. If you can't go out tonight and spend hundreds of dollars like some others, support FNO by shopping their merchandise.  I'll be celebrating the cause at Monkee's, the best local boutique. I have never attended obviously, since I just moved to Wilmington, but I hear it's been a packed house and tons of fun!
