Crazy Good Install {Via Amber Interiors}

Amber posted this picture of her client's install last night, and I caught myself gasping for air. It's so bold & daring, and I absolutely love it!

Seriously, who puts that wallpaper in their living room? She's crazy. Crazy good. Love it!

Happy Hump Day!

Happenings

Brad despised my Target side table, so we replaced it with this classic from a local store. Yes, the tag is still on.

I first spotted this print from Furbish and got extremely upset when they were sold out. Lucky for me, I found on Etsy from the artist herself! Now to hang it...

This weekend, Brad & I went to my boss's house for a cocktail party to celebrate some friends' upcoming nuptials

Bradley & I scored at TJ Maxx, and lemme tell you, this never happens. I'm always the hopeful one when walking in TJ, but I never find any designer goodies like the rest of the Maxxinistas out there. So I'm extremely proud of this!

Have a fab day, Friends!

Busy

"Busy" is such a lame word. I hate using it as a reason I can't do something, but ever since last weekend and up until October, that's what I'll be... Busy!
Most of our upcoming weekends will be spent going out of town for various occasions- Weddings, showers, high school reunions... And the week days aren't much better.

My blog is feeling the brunt of all this chaos, so I'm here to tell you, I'll be back to regular posts next week!

On a side note, I want to look like this girl. How relaxed is she??
Namaste, Bitches!

See you next week.

Baby Shower Planning

I'm a shower throwing virgin. Most of my closest girlfriends have sisters, so I've never been the girl to throw any of the bridal / wedding / baby showers. Well, after 7 years of marriage to my brother, my sister-in-law is FINALLY pregnant! My first niece is due November 22, and I'm thrilled. I'm currently planning the shower using some inspiration from Pinterest. THANK GOD FOR PINTEREST. Seriously. It's given me so many ideas...

We're having the shower at my grandparent's house. We'll be serving "pretty" food (as I like to call it) and a cake similar to the one above (except in pink, not purple). I love the idea of lanterns & paper balls for decor... I want to completely make over my grandma's living space so it screams baby. And I'm thinking 1 maybe 2 FUN, not cliche, games...

Any tips / suggestions? Games? Food? Decor? What to do / what not to do?
HELP! I want it to be the best shower ever!

Coleen & Company Lighting

Top of the mornin' to ya. My weekend actually ended last night. Bradley & I both had yesterday off of work, and I must say, we thoroughly enjoyed 3 days off in a row. I'm still a firm believer that work weeks should be Mon-Thurs 8-6. Who's with me?

On to this faboosh lighting. Are you familiar with Coleen & Company? The best flush mounts & lanterns I eva did see. But it'll cost you...

Try & tell me these lanterns don't finish these spaces off perfectly! Just try...

Hanging A Mirror At 'Eye Level'

This is a case of a man hanging a mirror vs. a woman hanging a mirror.

Brad received the task of hanging a mirror over our dresser in the bedroom. He asked, "how high?" I replied, "Eye level. Thanks, Babe!"

Welp, this is what I get....
Can't see my face.

Now, my version of 'eye level'.
Ahh, isn't that better? I can see myself!

(And yes, I'm one of those people who must have a tv in the bedroom. I wish it weren't the case, but it is...)

Lovelies, i'm not too excited that it's Monday, but I'm very excited that this Monday morning comes with 64 degree weather! I can taste the boots, leggings and chunky sweaters. Hurry up, Fall!

The Tray Table

Okay, so I've found a home for my new bamboo tray table. Can I get a "Woo Hoo?!" It's serving as a mini entry way table since I don't have much of an entry at all.

I love that my MASSIVE magnolia tree in the front yard now serves a purpose other than filling my yard with leaves - it doubles as a "house plant".

Yes, I know, it's still naked. I need a fab mirror to put behind it, a little art to rest behind the candle sticks, and I'd love a big stack of books underneath the table.

So, whatcha think so far?
