Friday Faves: Etsy Edition

If you're anything like me, you scour through the pages and pages of Etsy and find yourself wanting to give up the search. Unless you know exactly what you're looking for or have narrowed down the best search words, there's a lot of junk (eeeeek... don't hate me) that clogs your pages.

Welp, I put in the man hours last night and ended up finding some goodies.
My pockets aren't deep enough to buy these lovelies, but maybe yours are (lucky biatches!), so I thought I'd share.

{1} Favorite Pieces of Furniture
These gorgeous faux bamboo campaign side tables. You can lacquer them white, or leave 'em as is. I'd leave these babes as is... Just sayin'.

{2} Favorite Rug
This vintage Turkish Rug has all my favorite colors. I can see this beauty on top of my jute rug.
Ahhh, yes... Fab!

{3} Favorite Wall Art
Seriously? Hermes. Frame it. Hang it. Need I say more?

{4} Favorite Mirror
It's so hard to find a federal mirror at a good price. Yes, I know, I'm sure this $45 mirror is not an antique by any means, but it beats the hell outta the pair I found in Charleston, SC for $60,000.

So that's all for now, Folks. Enjoy your holiday weekend.

The maxi from Asos is the one I've been obsessing over for days now. Oh, how I wish it were half the price. Tax return present to myself?? Maybe...

This Calls For A Celebration

Happy 1st day of Spring!
Someone needs to throw this fabulous shindig in honor of the changing seasons
I'll have my eyes peeled for my e-vite to this fancy party.
Until then, Mother Nature & I are going to have a serious talk about what's happening outside my door...

Design Inspiration: Meredith Heron

I was doing my usual perusing about Pinterest this morning when I came across a lovely picture. I clicked, and up popped this gorge mod rowhouse in Toronto. Instantly, my brain starts going a mile a minute. Don't you just love when one picture can inspire a whole lotta design ideas? I DO!

Check out Meredith Heron's glorious home

Seriously, major inspirational moment right now. I just designed an entire room in my house in my head in the last 5 minutes...

27 & Fabulous

Happy belated birthday to me!

I had a fantastic weekend with my honey & my family.
Brad took me to Charleston where we ate & shopped. I figured there would be some uh-mazing vintage & consignment home stores... And well, uh-mazing is not the word. EXPENSIVE is the word. If anyone needs a pair of vintage brass federal mirrors for $60,000 (yes, you read that right- sixty thousand dollars), hit me up. I'll tell you where to find 'em. This place was so stuffy that I was afraid to snap any pictures. "You break 'em, you buy 'em" was not an option for us.

I did manage to leave there with a few iPhone photos

My sweet babe bought me 2 pairs of shoes for my birthday... He sure does know how to make me a happy girl!

Bring on my 28th year (yes, I'm only 27... just think about it).
Happy Hump Day, Friends!

I'm so in love. And if you're not, don't tell me. My little heart is fragile. But seriously, how could you not love?? A little wall decor here, a little window treatment there. Oh Marge, you look fab!

After all the hard work I've been doing lately, I sure do wish I could go on a little weekend getaway.
Oh, but wait...
Brad just booked us at Charleston Place this weekend for my BIRRRTHDAY!!! Bring on the shopping!

HOLLA!!!

Dining Room Update: Part Une

Holy Mother of... Wallpaper installation is in process as we speak I type & you read. The anticipation was killing me. In the mean time, I've been on the hunt for a rug, art or mirrors, window treatments, something to fill the built-ins, a great tablescape of some sort, and well, I made no progress except for the filling the built-ins...

I paid a visit to my sweet grandparents in South Carolina last weekend because I'm a terrible granddaughter and haven't been there in a couple months almost. My Granny {and don't picture a 90-yr-old, white haired, glasses-wearin', hunched over, little 'ol lady. My Granny is a young 67, tall, blonde bombshell} asked me if I would like to have her late mom's china from years and years ago. Without seeing it, my answer was, "Ummm, YES!" I love anything old & anything with sentimental value.

Here's what was packed away in the attic in a dusty old bin, wrapped with newspaper from 1980

Old lady? Yes. But it's now my old lady china. We'll call her Marge.
Here's Marge in the built-ins

I love Marge on display. When the wallpaper is up & the room is done, she'll be the perfect touch of old.

Now for my dining room 'before the wallpaper' pictures

{Ignore the living room (kinda like I have)... It's nowhere near where I want it to be}
I'll reveal the papered dining room mañana.

On another note, I had two babies turn five over the weekend!
My baby, Ella had a birthday on Friday, and my big boy, Brady had his birthday Sunday...
What would a birthday be without 2 pupcakes?

They're growing up so fast. *tear*

Alright, that's all for today, Folks!
